System Float Pool: opportunity to float between TMC Main Campus, TMC Rincon Campus, Benson Hospital and Northern Cochise Community Hospital.

Unit Information

At TMC Health, the Registered Nurse (RN) Float position is a licensed staff nurse, an experienced clinician with two or more years of experience, functions at the competent to proficient stage of clinical practice. The TMC RN Float position provides professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, conducts nursing assessments, assists with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of electronic medical records. The RN Float position provides direct patient care effectively and efficiently which may include patients with varied and complex needs. This position communicates and collaborates with providers and health care team members to facilitate, coordinate, and maintain compassionate, community based, quality care and achievement of desired outcomes. The RN Float position demonstrates clinical competence when providing care, using technology, administering medications, and acting as a patient and family advocate to monitor and maintain patient rights. The RN Float position will be required to float to various assigned departments and will have the opportunity to float to multiple TMC facilities aligning compensation with increased levels of facility coverage and competency.

Requirements

EDUCATION: Graduation from a qualified, nationally-accredited nursing program.

EXPERIENCE: One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting preferred.

LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION: Current RN licensure permitting work in the State of Arizona and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Some departments such as OR, Ambulatory Surgery, Pediatrics/PICU, PACU, and GI Lab will require advanced life support certification (ACLS and PALS).
