Position Description

North Central Surgical Center Hospital (NCSC) is a highly successful, Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital located in Dallas, TX. We partner with the very best team members and medical staff in the area. We are an elective surgical focused hospital that performs over 12,000 procedures per year.

FACTS ABOUT NORTH CENTRAL: Opened in 2005, 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms. We are conveniently located at Walnut Hill & I 75 in the prestigious North Park area. Specialties include Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, and Podiatry Surgeries. Managed by United Surgical Partners International. Joint Commission Accredited.

Under the direction of the Regional Director of Facilities Management, The Hospital Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of hospital buildings, systems, and equipment to ensure a safe, efficient, and compliant healthcare environment. This role provides leadership and supervision to facilities staff, coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance programs, ensures compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), OSHA, NFPA, CMS, and other regulatory standards, and supports the hospital’s mission of patient safety and quality care.

Operations & Maintenance:

  • Supervise the operation and maintenance of hospital mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life safety systems.
  • Ensure timely completion of preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
  • Oversee vendor and contractor work to ensure compliance with hospital standards and safety protocols.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Ensure facilities meet all regulatory, accreditation, and safety requirements (TJC, NFPA, OSHA, CMS, local/state codes).
  • Conduct routine facility inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Assist with Environment of Care (EOC) and Life Safety rounds.
  • Assist Regional Facilities Director with documentation for regulatory surveys and audits.

Leadership & Supervision:

  • Direct, schedule, and evaluate facilities staff performance.
  • Provide training and development to ensure staff competency in safety, compliance, and technical skills.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Project & Resource Management:

  • Assist in planning and execution of facility related repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • Recommend cost-saving initiatives and improvements in facility operations.

Emergency Response:

  • Serve as a key responder in utility failures, fire alarms, disaster drills, and other hospital emergencies.
  • Ensure backup systems (generators, fire pumps, and medical gases) are functional and tested per code.

Required Skills:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Licensure/Certification

  • None required.
  • Preferred: HACP-PE

Specific Job Experience

  • Minimum of 3 year of experience in a hospital or healthcare facility.
  • Or minimum of 5 years experience in Facilities maintenance Supervision or construction trade.
